Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be at the center of the most cutting-edge innovation initiatives in one of the hottest industries presently. You’ll be working with our team using the most up-to-date technologies and methods. You will be essential for the progress and development of our new trading platform, as well as for the rewriting of the company.

• Working as a part of the team developing applications and services using Agile development methodology;
• Building backend services for our applications;
• Integration with internal and 3rd party systems;
• Writing reusable, testable, and secure code;
• Designing and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications;
• Developing server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of database services;
• Investigating and resolving various incidents related to systems or services, conducting industry research, providing recommendations for emerging trends.

Desired skills

• 3+ years of experience in back-end development;
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and NodeJS;
• Experience with one of the following Web Frameworks: Koa, Express;
• Understanding of asynchronous programming;
• In-depth understanding and experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Lite, etc.);
• Experience with RESTful services and WebSockets;
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GitHub, Gitlab;
• Optional: Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests;
• Optional: Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications;
• Optional: Knowledge of Microservices Architecture (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Optional: Experience with Strapi headless CMS;
• Teamwork recognition and the ability to collaborate.
